In a small bowl, mix together allspice, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, water, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
Place the chicken breast in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and let it simmer until slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
Serve the allspice glazed chicken hot with your choice of side dish.
