Cooking steps

  • Rinse all the rice varieties under cold water until the water runs clear.

  • In a large pot, heat ghee over medium heat and add cumin seeds. Cook until fragrant.

  • Add all the rice varieties, salt, and turmeric. Stir to coat the rice with the spices.

  • Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.

  • Stir in frozen peas and cilantro. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the peas are heated through.
