Cooking steps

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Add the cubed tofu and cook until lightly browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove tofu from the skillet and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, heat another tablespoon of vegetable oil.

  • Add minced garlic, sliced onions, and bell peppers. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are softened.

  • Add the cooked tofu back into the skillet and sprinkle with ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to coat the tofu and vegetables with the spices.

  • Continue cooking for another 5 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.

  • Serve the Mexican tofu stir fry over cooked rice.
